Explanation of Options
How do you decide whether an option is for you?
Option:

Delete VMAP:   If your ECU is already equipped with a 3 bar Pressure Transducer then a VMAP is not required. Our pricing for upgrades reflects special software pricing when purchased with a VMAP. If no VMAP is included in the mods package then $120 is deducted from the price of the package.

Substitute 2.5/4.0 bar VMAP for the 2.5/3.0 bar VMAP. This is an extra cost upgrade (add $70).

Installation Service:

This installation service provides for the internal changes required for the ECU to enable using the modifications. These operations include opening the ECU, desoldering the OEM pressure transducer and the OEM chips, soldering in the VMAP cable and two chip sockets, installing the VMAP and chips and closing up the ECU. Installation charges include normal return UPS or FedEx ground shipping back to you. If you are sure of your abilities with a soldering iron or if you have a local tech who can do the job for you and you are willing to assume responsibility for a possible botched installation then, at your discretion, installation in our shop is not required. Our $75 installation charge covers normal UPS ground return shipping. If you want overnight shipping an added $25 is required to cover our added expense.

    Installation Service - Option 1.   Core Deposit Required -    Instant gratification - nearly zero down-time - a core deposit of $1,000 is required. This deposit will be refunded upon receipt of your old operable and undamaged ECU.

We prepare a "swapper ECU" with the mods already installed and ship it to you. When it arrives you pull your old ECU and install the "new" one. Then promptly ship us the old one for our use for the next customer. Insure the package for $1,000. Your down-time will be only as long as it takes you to swap out the ECU.

    Installation Service - Option 2.   No Core Deposit Required -    Slower but no core deposit is required. Ship us your ECU along with payment for the mods and installation charges. We install the mods and ship the ECU back to you. If a "swapper" is available when your ECU arrives it will be shipped to you. This will save you at least one day of down time. If not, we will modify your ECU and send it back to you. This latter process will likely take at least an additional working day to accomplish and thus extend your down time some. Our $75 installation charge covers normal UPS ground return shipping. If you want overnight shipping an added $25 is required to cover our added expense. Your down-time can vary between 3 days and 7 to 8 days depending on a number of possible circumstances.
